Without Albion, I would probably have never ended up doing this course at the university that that best suits me. Albion has helped me take the most important decision in my life so far, and I could not be more grateful.
Studying: PPE (Politics, Philosophy and Economics) at York University
When I first started working with Albion, I had a vague idea about what course I wanted to study and no idea about where. PPE (Politics, Philosophy and Economics) was quite a natural choice for me, as these were my interests, but I did not even know which universities in the UK offered the course, let alone how to shortlist 5 of them to apply to, or what the application would actually entail, aside from the personal statement.
Albion has provided full support in all the stages of my application, from advice about each university – its rankings, its departments, course contents and even location, to suggesting all the steps I should take – recommending reading lists to gain insight on the subjects of my choice, alongside internship and volunteering opportunities and various other projects to increase my chances of obtaining offers. Albion has even provided support for my teachers in writing my reference letter and invaluable help with my personal statement, my UCAS application and the paperwork for my application for a student loan, which can be very stressful and confusing.
However, the most important aspect of working with Albion was the fact that it simply made the entire process less stressful – whenever I panicked over any issue, and that happens so often when you are under the stress of such important decisions and exams, I would receive immediate support and advice. The feeling that you are not on your own, that any issue can be dealt with, prevents you from feeling overwhelmed by the application process. That makes an incredible difference, decreasing the tension of deadlines and exams and simply allowing you to focus on studying, rather than logistics and technicalities.
All of that, aside from all the time you save, trying to figure out every step of the application on your own, checking every university website, the rankings and tutorials, all of that research that takes up immense amounts of time, time that you would waste not studying and focusing on improving your chances of obtaining offers. However, the best feature of Albion is that all of this support is personalised – it is based on your specific choices, what would suit you better, what you would like and therefore advice that is applicable to you. It cannot be compared to researching websites, it is PERSONAL, Albion really helped me realise what I wanted, what was best for me, from what should be included in my personal statement specifically for my course (the word limit can become your greatest enemy, and deciding what will be most appealing can be a nightmare) to how to decide on my firm choice, which I could not be happier with now.
Without Albion, I would probably have never ended up doing this course at the university that that best suits me. Albion has helped me take the most important decision in my life so far, and I could not be more grateful.
